Referrals and Funding

Barefoot OT is a private occupational therapy practice. You do not need a referral to see an OT unless you are requiring Medicare rebates. OT is a registered Medicare provider and a FaHCSIA provider. Please contact us for further information about fees and to book appointment.

Medicare

You must have a current referral to be eligible for Medicare rebates. Referrals can be made by paediatricians, GPs and psychiatrists for Medicare sessions (see below for information).

Better Access to Mental Health Sessions - We can provide OT under the mental health plan

DSS FaHCSIA Better Start

DSS also provide funding for children diagnosed with ASD. This should be applied for before age 6 and be used before 7th birthday.
